Stan Cox is a plant breeder at the Land Institute in Salina, Kansas. His writing on environmental issues has appeared in newspapers in 43 states, including the New York Times, Washington Post and Los Angeles Times. He has written extensively for Al Jazeera, CounterPunch, Alternet, Green Social Thought, and many other publications.

He is the author of Losing Our Cool (The New Press) and Sick Planet (Pluto Books).
